1. Number Beanbag Relay

Resources: 1–20 Number Beanbags, Number Cones Skills: Number recognition, ordering, addition

How to Play:

  • Lay number cones in a scattered area.
  • Pupils run to collect beanbags in order, or race to match beanbags to the correct cone.
  • Extend by asking pupils to collect two beanbags and calculate the total.

2. Jump the Number Line Challenge

Resources: 0–20 Number Line, Stopwatch Skills: Counting forwards/backwards, simple number operations

How to Play:

  • Lay the number line along the ground.
  • Pupils jump to the number that answers a question (“What is 7 + 5?”).
  • Use the stopwatch for timed challenges or quick-fire rounds.
